CityMD Rye Brook Urgent Care - Westchester

I was treated by Dr. David Hong. He was kind, compassionate, and thorough. He told me that he wanted to see me get better and I am. I am very grateful for his care. He treats the patient not just the illness.😊

I scheduled an appointment and went in early and they were able to see me. The doctor was very nice and thorough. They worked very hard to get me a follow up with an appointment with an eye doctor since that was my issue.

Right off the bat, the doctor judged us for our tattoos and said he was unable to put in an IV. The one star I’m giving is for Michael. Thankful for his empathy and help in convincing the doctor that her veins were okay. ALSOOOOO THIS DOCTOR DOES NOT WEAR GLOVES WHILE HANDLING IV AND BLOOD.

I’ve generally had positive experiences at the Rye Brook location, and I understand that my visit on 12/17/24 was during a busy time of year. However, this experience was deeply disappointing. Despite having an appointment for my son, who was very ill and prone to ear infections after viruses, we waited nearly 40 minutes to get a room. The triage nurse made an error with his nasal test, and I wasn’t going to subject him to a repeat. After another 90-minute wait, the doctor arrived, visibly agitated and dismissive. She wouldn’t let me explain my son’s history, lectured me about “viruses,” and made me feel like a negligent parent for requesting a precautionary prescription. I am giving CityMD in Rye Brook one star due to a very disappointing experience. Two Sundays ago, my daughter had an appointment scheduled for 10:00 AM, but she wasn't seen until two and a half hours later. During that time, we noticed two patients who arrived after her being seen first, likely due to their status as private patients. When she was finally seen, the MD spent only a few minutes with her and provided no meaningful help for her pain. It's not surprising to me that this location has maintained a two-star rating for years, given the consistent poor service. It is upsetting that despite such low ratings, they seem to have made no effort to improve their service or address staff issues. I would never recommend this place to anyone—not even my worst enemy.
