CityMD Ridgewood Urgent Care- Queens

This office had a very nice staff. The nurses, PAs & Dr were very attentive. Dr. Zhang was very kind & attentive. He was very kind & took the time to listen & address my needs. He explained everything to me in a way that I understood. I would definitely recommend this particular office.

Stay far away from this place. They are not thorough and have misdiagnosed myself and my family twice with two different doctors. Waste of money and time. If you have an issue go right to the specialist. 1st had an ankle issue - they misread my x-ray and wrapped my ankle in a way that was painful and lead me to have to go to the ER later that night. Ended up at an ankle specialist who confirmed that had done a poor evaluation. The next visit I had a skin rash was concerned about a medication I was taking being the cause. The doctor was not familiar with the medication and dismissed my concerns and cut me off when I was speaking. The suggested I go to a specialist who confirmed it was a time sensitive issue that needed more specific care than he was going to leave me with. If I hadn’t adv

I had a very similar experience to some of the people who have left a review recently. The desk staff was nice and so was the first person I saw but the doctor truly could not care less. I came in with a very bad sore throat explaining that I had cold symptoms the last two weeks and thought it was done with and then woke up with pain swallowing and my throat inflamed. I had white dots on my tonsils which I explained which I then was met with him explaining to me that I don’t have any. He then told me that there was nothing he could do bc I tested negative on strep, flu, and Covid. I was practically in tears bc the pain I was experiencing and the stress of it was so bad which I was just met with extremely cold and degrading manner that seemed so uninterested and unhelpful. I went in Monday for flu like symptoms. My rapids came back negative but my PCR was positive the next day. No phone call nothing. I tried Calling the aftercare team for tamiflu and they said i don't qualify for tamiflu because i just hit that 48 hr check mark of having flu-like symptoms. I asked for an extension as well for my dr note and it took them three days with aftercare and fighting for a note to get a note without a signature from the PA. I also asked for the time frame of how long I’d be contagious for and to return to work and they told me to discuss this with my job. I had to go to another urgent care to get thoroughly checked out and to be prescribed proper medications and a proper work excuse note. These doctors barely look at you and offer you OTC nasal spray and cough medic

This is an incredible urgent care location. I am so grateful to the kind team at the front desk, the nurse, and the doctor. I came in for a very specific sickness, and the doctor (John De Trolio) was well versed and provided me with the right medicine for almost immediate relief after 10 days of agony. I couldn’t recommend more.
