CityMD Paramus Rt. 4 Urgent Care - New Jersey

Nice modern urgent care at Paramus. I had an appointment and they took me in on time. If there’s a delay I would understand too. The secretary helped me check in under 3 mins. I filled out all screening forms and uploaded my ID/insurance before I arrived. It helps me and helps them. The team was wonderful. From MA to the doctor and the Rad Tech were all friendly and professional. They listened to my concerns and treated me accordingly.

I was looking for an urgent care near me that had the least amount of wait time. I found out through City MD’s website they had no waitlist for walk-in. We arrived at 10:30pm, 30 minutes before their closing. The staff members at the reception were so friendly and quick to wrap up all the paper work, we were called in within 15 minutes. I was extremely impressed with their service. The nurse took the vitals and pre-assessment of the incident from my family member. Then the doctor came to visit us within next couple of minutes. He was very caring and provided us with all the details necessary to handle the finger cut situation. ​I am sharing this to warn others, particularly women presenting with serious symptoms. I visited this location om 2/18/26 for unusual, lingering left-side chest pain radiating through my shoulder and down to my fingers. I was treated by Anthony Lockhart, PA, and it was the most dismissive medical encounter I have ever experienced. ​Despite the clinical seriousness of chest pain in a woman in her 30s-40s, the PA’s response was pure medical gaslighting. He verbatim told me, "I can’t do anything for you," and claimed he had "no machines to detect heart conditions." He even asked me why I would even come to CityMD instead of a hospital for these symptoms, yet in the same breath dismissively attributed my pain to carpal tunnel. ​His communication was contradictory and condescending. I visited this urgent care location on back-to-back Saturdays—09/27/25 and 10/04/25—and had two very different experiences. First Visit (09/27/25): The visit was straightforward and professional. I was tested for Flu A, Flu B, and COVID—all negative. The on-call doctor diagnosed me with an upper respiratory infection and advised rest, fluids, zinc, and OTC meds. I appreciated the clarity and reassurance that it wasn’t the flu. Overall, a typical urgent care experience and I left feeling informed and cared for. Second Visit (10/04/25): This visit was a complete disappointment. I was seen by Dr. Lev Paley, and I cannot recommend him to anyone. Extremely disappointed in the place...I have been to this location for a few years now. But my recent experience drove me to write this unpleasant review. I was there last week with my son to get a rash checked out...they told me that I had $150 deductible. I said I have had this insurance for over 10 years now and only payed $50.00 deductible. The receptions then when back and the said my deductible is $50.00. I took my son back again today to do a sports physical for life guard training...something he has been doing from he was 4 years old in Jamaica. So today they told me that they do not take my insurance...the same insurance they accepted last week. Thus, I had to pay $225.00 out of pocket. But to make things worst the doctor claim he cannot participate in sports because of my heart c
