CityMD Merrick Urgent Care - Long Island

This place is just ok for a quick check and a couple of basic tests. The front desk staff is very helpful. The medical assistant and the doctor are super fast you barely get all the information you need. They got the job done for me but I believe they could have been more comprehensive and informative in their treatment plan. It was fine to check whether I have a cold or flu. I wouldn’t go there if I have an injury or a more serious illness.

The staff was wonderful. The woman at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. The medical assistant made me feel comfortable as he proceeded to take my vitals and review my information. Dr Raskin was terrific! He not only treated my symptoms, but also treated me like a person.

Usually this place is pretty okay with seeing me on time if I make an appointment ahead of time. Some doctors are okay- Dr Russell Flood was a good one, but I don't think he is there anymore. However, Dr Russell Raskin - made me feel ashamed and unwelcome, and only came into my room for around 30 seconds. Each remark from him was condescending; arrogant, and he was acting like having the flu was no big deal - even though my other medical conditions make it a lot worse. He even told the assistant that she 'over exaggerated' my symptoms and could not even answer a simple question about my medication dosage. I felt like he was judging me as a patient, and did not care at all for what I had to say, constantly interrupting my sentences. Because of him, I will not be going back here again. I de

I highly recommend this City MD location. The staff is efficient and polite. I have seen Dr Raskin several times over the years and he is a great doctor!

The doctor was dismissive and unprofessional. I had to repeatedly prompt them to ask about other symptoms I was experiencing, despite having already shared them with the nurse. The doctor did not perform a complete assessment, offered minimal guidance, and left me feeling unheard and uncertain about my care.
