CityMD Massapequa Urgent Care - Long Island

I'm a senior in my 70s. I had a slip/fall where I broke 4 ribs and other things. Had a complete examination with XRAYS. Everything was put on a DVD for my primary doctor. I felt very comfortable with their care and trusted the diagnosis concerning my injuries. Definitely started on the right track going to this Urgent Care.

BEWARE: PROVIDERS WILL CONDUCT SERVICES WITHOUT TELLING YOU ABOUT ASSOCIATED COSTS I got saddled with an unexpected bill that I fortunately am able to pay but I got so upset knowing that other people might get bills that are significantly more than mine because the provider didn't share that it wasn't covered by insurance. To CityMD, shame on you.

This was my first time here today the nurses and the doctor were very friendly and very thorough they did chest X rays and found out I had bronchitis they immediately called my pharmacy I was in and out very quickly thank you I highly recommend City Md

Went there for a food poisoning since my Primary Care was busy for a prescription for antibiotics. Had the Doctor tell me that I needed a CAT scan for appendicitis. Would not consider alternative options when I told him a CAT scan was not in my range of options and immediately discharged me. Was told "Just because you can't afford a CAT scan will not change the way I practice medicine." Seems like the "Do no harm" part of their Hippocratic Oath is not part of their daily regiment. Utterly rude and unbelievable. You're better off going to your primary care.

This place is a total rip off if you need a TB test do not go to them. They will charge you $280 just to get the test out-of-pocket go to another City MD they will charge you $50 for them to do the test. They tried to tell me that I would have to pay because they have to do a physical on me and Insurance wouldn’t pay for it. They did not do a physical on me. But charge me $280 plus a $25 copayment that they charged my insurance.
