CityMD Lanoka Harbor Urgent Care - New Jersey

Went in for crackly breathing, shortness of breath and so fatigued I could barely speak. They tested me for flu and covid, and when it came back negative the woman seeing me said "so youre negative for flu and covid so were pretty confident its rsv" called me in a script for prednisone and said Id feel better in a few days. I was back in not four days later, and luckily this aprn had enough sense to do a chest xray and turns out I have pnemonia. The steroids given only made it worse. They never tested me for rsv, they made a guess and its cost me over a week of work, and tons of addtional medications.

I went in with a terrible cough, fever, and a lost voice and the nurse practitioner didn’t even listen to my lungs or test me for the flu or Covid. She prescribed me medicine before she even looked at my throat. I asked what I had and she said “post nasal drip”. I asked if it could be laryngitis and she said “Yes! Very possible!” as if I was giving her the answers. I went home later that night with a 103.7 fever and crackling lungs. I have to go somewhere else for a second opinion because I’m afraid she didn’t do everything she should have to check my health.

I have been here a few times. Only once did I have a Dr who I didn’t feel he really knew his stuff. The other times I have had PAs and they have been wonderful. Please note also I haven’t been here for a major sickness. My visits were for fracture bones and a rash.
