Citrus Park Animal, Bird & Exotics Hospital

Absolutely love everyone here! I trust this animal hospital completely with my four-legged babies. Our latest visit was a really sad one, our 17 1/2 year old cat had to be put to sleep. My 5 and 7 year old two-legged babies decided they had to be there for it and Dr. Brooks explained everything he was doing as he did it and let them know that our kitty wouldn't be hurting anymore. I am so thankful to him for showing so much compassion to all of my babies ❤️

I’ve been bringing my pets to Citrus Park Animal, Bird & Exotics Hospital for 18 years, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Dr. Brooks has cared for my cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, snakes, and lizards — and he always goes above and beyond to figure out what’s going on. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and one of the most dedicated and compassionate vets I’ve ever met. The entire staff treats every animal like their own and puts genuine care into everything they do. Their compassion and commitment over the years have meant the world to me and my animals.

Amazing local vet and bonus - also experienced in the pet shipping process for international moves. Highly recommend these guys for general veterinary visits, so knowledgeable, caring and they take their time to answer all questions! and have to shout out the endless help and expertise of Gillian who has helped me navigate the international pet relocation process!! I would not recommend this vet as their prices are astronomical and now they charge you a fee if you want to buy your pet’s prescriptions elsewhere. If your pet needs a vaccine they also require an exam each time even if your pet just had an exam less than a year ago - just to get more money from you. My pet had a dental cleaning and they ended up charging me more than double what they quoted me. Reply to your reply: Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, the explanations provided do not change my experience. The costs ultimately charged were far higher than what was initially quoted, and the added fees and required exams felt excessive and not clearly communicated upfront. I unfortunately I really cannot recommend for birds and have to leave a review. The best part of this facility was the ease and quick availability to get in to see the vet. The front desk is very friendly and accommodating. My 6 month old parrot was molting pretty bad with pin feathers and had a wound in the abdomen area possibly from the couple of times she fluttered and fell. She was still acting fine but I wanted to get it checked and for medication to avoid infection because the wound seemed deep in the area the pin feathers also looked like they were not growing properly. A couple of things made us question my choice. My family member took her in as I was not able to. I noticed the invoice noted the bloodwork for my 6 month old cape parrot was a reptile and the test results note s
