Love Dr. Downing and everybody in Pediatrics of Kempsville! They’re very helpful. You can call them if it’s not emergency to ask for advice when your baby has fever or constipated. I’m so glad that I’m bringing my son here as his primary pediatrician!

Called and talked to Sherri on the phone about setting up a new child appointment with my daughter. She said to come in and bring in the paperwork from past doctors. I brought in what I could bring in from her past doctors and the front receptionist looked at it and said they couldn't take it as it wasnt complete and basically shut me down from even putting in my information to get started. She literally scolded me like a child in front of the other staff for accidentally bringing in the wrong paperwork. Not very nice and will probably not be coming back as I dont want to be treated disrespectfully everytime I go in. I will take heed of the other reviews too. This place is going to lose people and it'll all be because of the front receptionist. Poor job. Better can her.

Front Desk Sherrie is very rude. She has hung up on my daughter more than a couple of times. For whatever reason this person is Always rude on the phone and in person. Changing Drs offices was already a stressful situation, but dealing with this person has made that process Even More stressful!! It was a challenge just getting enrolled, and my daughter shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable in bringing her child to your office. The Doctor in this office is very nice and understanding, and so should the rest of the staff there, be as well. .

All three of my kids go here, and I truly love this practice. We primarily see Jennifer(LOVE HER), but we've also had great experiences with Dr. Downing and Dr. Young. It’s clear they genuinely care about their patients and provide top-notch care every time. As a mom of two preemies, I’ve had my fair share of stressful moments, especially when they were sick. The entire team has always been so accommodating, patient, and reassuring during those times, which means the world to me. I know other reviews have mentioned Sherri, but we've personally never had any issues. She’s always kind when I call, and she recognizes my boys right away just by my name, which makes me feel like my children are seen and valued, not just another number.

The lady Sherri at front desk! I don't think she's suitable to work here.First of all, let me talk about my first experience. I have called before i was there , she told me I have to be there and sign the paperwork, when I got there she said I have to bring my son together with me ????? That’s so crazy ! Anyway. I think she's talking nonsense because she doesn't even want to accept new patients, And then she said she couldn't find any information about my child,When I was angry and wanted to leave, she seemed to notice something was wrong with me,And then she said she could handle new patients, ok fine ,When I didn't have much free time to find new pediatricians, I chose them. There's another worse one. Our appointment is 1:15 and we got there like 1:00, I checked in.and go the waiting
