Children's Heart Institute Lansdowne

I’m honestly very disappointed with this cardiology office. We’ve been patients here for a couple of years and usually receive text confirmations before appointments. In early February, we had an appointment scheduled but never received a confirmation text. When we called to confirm, they told us they couldn’t find any record of the appointment. We figured maybe there was a miscommunication, so we let it go and rescheduled for a few weeks later. This morning, before heading out, we tried calling again just to confirm the appointment. No one answered. We decided to go anyway since it was already scheduled — only to arrive and find the office completely closed. Lights were off, doors locked, and there was no sign posted explaining the closure. No call, no message, no email, no communicatio

My child had an appointment scheduled (well in advance ) for a yearly checkup. Without notice, the office was closed on the day of her appointment. I only found out because I called the day of since I hadn't received a call or text to confirm and was told by a scheduler that office was closed. I reluctantly rescheduled for the next available appointment 1.5 months later. The day before that appointment, I received a call letting me know that the office would not be open the day of the appointment. I fail to understand how they continue to schedule appointments and then close the entire office repeatedly. We will be finding a new pediatric cardiologist.

As other families leaving reviews have mentioned, my child had an appointment scheduled well in advance with the Lansdowne office for a yearly checkup. We received a call the day before his appointment (after 3pm) and were told the office decided to close for the day. We rescheduled and again, the office called last minute saying they would be closed on the day of our scheduled appointment. After 3 failed attempts, we are switching offices. Receptionist was very rude during my last phone call and each office within the Heart Institute network is only open one day per week, which makes it difficult for families to schedule needed appointments.

I use to love this location. Vicky at the front desk was so kind & helpful. The drs in the practice have changed. I feel rushed at times. I found out recently that they would not see my daughter in their Herndon office to verify she has or doesn't have POTS. I was told that the Herndon location does not accept our insurance but the other locations do. So I will now have to find another cardiologist for our kids even though we have being seeing this practice for 15 years. It really is silly that this is how their practice works.

I have been waiting for a heart monitor for over a month for my son to use, When I called they said that it would be taken cared of and it will come in the mail. I am still waiting. Now I am not even allowed to post this because the post button is not highlighted to enter.
