Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Urgent Care Center - Cherokee

Terrible experience. We were there for 4 hours total. The lady who assessed us first was fairly rude and didn’t use her stethoscope properly which I found interesting. We were walked back to a room and sat there alone for 40 minutes. I walked up to the desk to get an ETA and there was a massive TV with a wait list that I was looking at and the doctor said “sir, you can’t look at that, it’s a HIPPAA violation.” Ok then, Einstein, let’s not put it on a massive flat screen TV at the nurses station then. She advised me that they had 2 doctors on staff to see the 30 kids on the wait list. What a disaster from start to finish. Let’s do better for the CHILDREN of Cherokee County, they deserve better and more kindness.

I brought my 6 month old in after picking him up from daycare with a 102 fever. They took good care of him and gave him treatments as needed throughout the visit to make him comfortable. The provider and her team of nurses were absolutely wonderful and so sweet with my lil guy. Thank you! I highly recommend them!

Absolutely great experience from all nursing staff and our nurse practitioner. They explained everything that was going on, what they wanted to watch for while we waited, and what to expect after discharge. Hearing your baby has RSV is scary but with the education the provider and staff gave i felt comfortable and prepared to know what to look out for and do in the event she worsened when we got home. Thank you CHOA!

Would never take my son to the doctor office very very again the nurse that was there was a older lady she didn’t not want to touch my son I had to put on his cups and his other stuff that the nurse is post to do then going tell me that to let him old his bottle that way like please don’t treat my son disrespectful because of the color of his skin while go to a medical field knowing that you have to deal with different color people it hurts me that my kids have to go though stuff like then i asked the doctor to test him rsv and the flu and she going tell me he is fine he just have bronchitis. Motrin and Tylenol will help. Like what!! You didn’t even test him for anything 🤬🤬🤬 this was the worst experience I ever had they are racist they don’t care about anything there I was in my room

My kid was sick and had to take him at almost closing time. Still the staff were soo patient and took care of him well. Nurse Kathy was very knowledgeable and very sweet and made my kid comfortable and explained every detail clearly.
