Sarah in scheduling was so insanely rude to me that I'm going to take my child to a different doctor entirely. There is absolutely no excuse for all of that attitude when I asked a simple question of why they were calling at random to schedule an appointment; I thought something was wrong with my child or something, which is why I asked... instead I was met with a condescending tone and a raised voice. When I asked her name she wouldn't give it to me, but I was able to obtain that when calling back. The first step of making sure you have a decent practice is making sure you aren't hiring just any trash off the street to work your phones.
Be Ware, Choa Neuro in Atlanta children hospital no longer for new patients, I wait and call again and again, they answer super simple “all new patient even you have referred letter , before appointment you have go through administrative process first, I have been waiting call back for two months more,no one call and my appointment never make.so why you open your business with no patients needs. It is Medical Scam. Something wrong in system. It was supper unmanageable and disgusting , patient will suffer longer with issues. Shame on you . ChOa Neuro
I am writing to express serious concerns about the coordination of care and communication at Children's Advanced Pediatrics Neurology following my grandson's gran mal seizure on February 7, 2025. After my grandson's hospitalization at CHOA Scottish Rite in Dunwoody, we were referred to Dr. Kim for follow-up care at Center for Advanced Pediatrics Neurology. Due to extensive backlogs, we couldn't get an appointment until March 28, 2025 - nearly six weeks after discharge. During this waiting period, a referral was sent to neuropsychology to investigate the cause of the seizure. When we finally saw Dr. Kim, we were surprised by her opening statement that she was "not sure why you are here," suggesting this was more of a mental health issue than neurological. This seems inappropriate given th
I thank God we moved out of state and far away from Georgia and the sorry subpar excuse for healthcare! My daughter was under the medical care of Choa for about 3 years (multiple different doctors EXCEPT what she actually needed) but mostly under neurology and cardiology. She suffered from SEVERE migraines, stomach problems, severe nausea, fatigue, unable to eat at times, high and low bp, irregular and high heart rate, among other things. She was given numerous different medications, hospitalized 3 times in less than 13 month’s, ranging 5-7 days each time, a neurologist resident named Dr. Ngo telling my daughter to her face that she will have to suck it up and just learn to deal with the pain. Then Dr. Forte dismissing her (literally saying to take her to Emory) because she didn’t want to
I do not recommend CHOA Neurology. My daughter was having daily debilitating headaches. The pediatrician made the referral to CHOA neurology. I was told they had to review her case and they would call to give us an appointment. We never received a call. I ended up taking my child to the ED at CHOA begging for an admission so she could be seen by a neurologist as an inpatient. She was seen while admitted, diagnosed with migraines and sent home. They were adamant the diagnosis was correct and would not work her up further. We finally got a follow up appointment in the office. My daughter was still having debilitating headaches along with other neuro symptoms. The doctor in the office made a change to her medications and told us to follow up in three months. At check out, we were told that i
