Children's Healthcare of Atlanta - Hughes Spalding Hospital

My baby girl had a fever and other symptoms, from the moment we arrived we were taken to the back very quick. From the front desk to the counselor who helped us with our insurance, you guys are amazing thank you for everything. Thank you to the amazing doctor that treated our daughter and answering every single concern.

Horrible service!!! Drove 40minutes with my two month old and didn’t get any help for 6+ hours for a full body breakout that continued to spread throughout our visit. After talking to 4 nurses, admin and an attending with no care being given just promises of ‘the doctor will be in soon’. We left and drove to another hospital in hopes our child wouldn’t get worse from lack of care. Staff had the nerve to say we were coded as yellow and were possibly not being seen yet due to our child not having breathing troubles yet. We will NEVER return.

EXTREMELY SLOW - no sense of urgency for a child bleeding in the lobby. After being told that we would be seen quickly we have sat in the lobby for over 2 hours. They do not care about you or your child after checking in.

If i could give a 0 stars I would. My son had a 105 fever and was lethargic… They discharged us with diagnosing him with a “little viral infection” and the “croup”. No swabs, blood work, nothing. He had RSV and the Flu….. I’m so grateful for the urgent care I took him to the next day. If I wouldn’t have, my son wouldn’t have been able to start Tamiflu and recover so well.. This ED is a joke.

We had a truly fantastic experience at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. From the security guards and front desk team to the doctors and nurses, every interaction was marked by kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. Even the gentleman I spoke with in billing (George W.?) provided some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced over the phone. We are so grateful to have such a high-quality children’s hospital nearby, with staff who took such wonderful care of our sweet baby. We had heard great things from others, and now we’ve experienced it firsthand. Thank you!
