Chic Dental Care

I truly can’t recommend this dental office enough. I’ve always had a hard time with dental visits because I have jaw issues and sometimes experience panic attacks, especially when I feel like I can’t swallow and my breathing feels off. Most places don’t really understand that, but this office went above and beyond to make me feel safe and comfortable. The staff is incredibly patient, compassionate, and respectful. They never rushed me, never brushed off my concerns, and always took the time to explain what they were doing before every step. They checked in on me constantly and adjusted everything to make sure I was okay. That level of care is rare. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the difference. The front desk is welcoming, the assistants are kind, and the dentist is both skilled

Expect to wait at least an hour before they can get to you… My appointment was scheduled at 10:30 AM. They asked me to come in at 11:40 and numbed me up for my fillings. The doctor told me to wait a little bit to get numbed and left to work on another patient. I waited another 20 minutes then went out and asked them how much longer and they said another 20 minutes or so. At that point I would be at the dentist for 1 hour 50 minutes before they could get to me. I’d rather they communicate and let me know. I ended up having to leave because I would be late for work. It’s a a waste of my whole morning when I could’ve done other things.

Terrible experience at Chic Dental in San Jose. My mom went in for a simple root canal with Dr. Mirna, and they broke a piece of file in her tooth and sent her home. It’s been three weeks and we are still desperately searching for an endodontist willing to fix their mistake and remove the broken file. The clinic’s response? “Go find an endodontist to fix it, this happens all the time and we cannot do anything.” They refuse to accept responsibility or provide any support for the problem they caused. Highly NOT recommended.

Lucy was social and prudent helping me stay calm. Dr Nyguen was social and helpful understanding my concerns with how staff had treated me.

Dr. Pauline and staff always do a great job! I have been going to her since I was a child, and now my own daughter goes too. They always provide a positive atmosphere and go above and beyond in providing great dental service. Wendy is always friendly and I really appreciate when she takes the time to explain to me dental procedures or to answer any of my numerous questions! I never leave feeling like just another customer. They know me and my family by name, and it’s the little details like that, that make this dental office stand out amongst the rest.
