I was referred to Dr. Taylor after a couple years of periodic trips to the ER for Urinary retention. I have been going to my previous Dr for years and I was at a lost and thought that nothing permanent could be done. Upon meeting Dr. Taylor, she was very professional, knowledgeable, kind, energetic and understanding. She took the time to explain everything to me in terms that I could understand. She was sympathetic and made me feel extremely comfortable. Along side another Dr, they were able to successfully perform a tedious surgery back in December 2019. She was even able to squeeze me in on Christmas Eve to see me for a follow-up appt. Since, she has checked in on me and that speaks volumes of her character. If you are looking for a Urologist look no further. Dr. Taylor is the best!!!!! She is professional and a trail blazer in her field. She was thorough with my health issues and addressed each and everyone with me. She gave me nothing but honesty, genuineness and compassion. I love that she performs her own surgeries and before and after surgery she will check on you. She gave me comfort to know I can call her anytime with any questions and I did. I sent her messages and she responded in a quick manner. The staff is wonderful from the front desk staff, nurses, anesthesiologists to her surgical coordinator, Tawndy- who assured me that I was in great hands. Why try the rest when you can have the best with Dr. Aisha Taylor.

Dr. Taylor provided perhaps the best experience I have had with a medical professional ever, and that is saying a lot because I have multiple complex medical conditions. For my overactive bladder, she suggested Botox injections into the bladder. Weird right? It was life changing. I no longer urinated on myself randomly. I could function better. And besides the medical improvements she was just an absolute delight to be around and I loved and looked forward to my visits, again saying a lot because she was sticking a needle into my bladder! I would recommend and have recommended Dr. Taylor to anyone who needs a urologist and I will follow her to her new practice as well.

Do NOT under any circumstances meet with Dr. Aisha Taylor at Chesapeake urology, or visit their practice. This doctor is the most unprofessional, and rude Doctor I’ve ever encountered. She has horrible bedside manners and made me feel extremely uncomfortable during our initial appointment. She told me my pain was normal and just “deal with it, you’re a woman.” After our initial appointment she advised that I get a CAT scan done to look at some issues that were identified, and then have a Telehealth appointment to go over the results. After my CAT scan, I verified with the CAT scan personnel that the results would be sent to my doctor in time for my telehealth appointment. Dr. Taylor is incredibly kind and really cares about her patients! I have Interstitial Cystitis and it’s a *hard* disease with which to cope but I really appreciate her expertise. Having her in my toolbox is amazing. She shows compassion and care for all my pain (which I have a lot of, at times). I was with a different urologist before Dr. Taylor (a male) and seeing Dr. Taylor, who’s a Uro/Gyn, has made all the difference. She is skilled in both urology and gynecology and just a very down to earth person with a good attitude. She listens well and it’s obvious she cares about the welfare of her patients! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Taylor. She’s done two surgical procedures for me and is very professional and ensures that the best for her patients is her top priority.
