Chandler Convalescent Hospital

My wife is there and has been totally neglected. Moving her out. She is supposed to shower daily a day it's whenever staff gets to it, if ever. Can go a whole week without showering. Therapy is only 30 minutes a day and again if they show up, and if you ask questions ? It will go against your therapy time. My wife was put in a room where she couldn't do the therapy ecause she is paralyzed. AVOID this place at all costs.

I find the negative reviews on Chandler interesting to say the least. People are usually fueled to post negative comments when one little thing goes wrong and they are upset. I have had a very different experience with Chandler. My 83 year old mother has been here for over a year. I visit her for a couple hours every day. While it's not the nicest looking facility, it is clean and everyone is well taken care of for the most part. I always keep an eye out for how residents are treated and I've never seen anything out of the ordinary. The food is great for what it is and they do their best to accommodate the residents. They make efforts to keep those that live here entertained and the staff is nothing but nice and professional. My mother tells me she likes it there and she feels well cared

This place is not a nursing facility. My uncle has been there 3 days. The first day in his room there was feces on the curtain. The following day he was overdosed with medication and had no idea how to use a fork to feed himself. No staff helped him eat. The third day a family member found him without sheets or a blanket on his bed and naked because he couldn’t find his clothes. The staff had no idea where his clothes are. Later that same day his glasses went missing.

I don’t recommend this, dude my mom just got discharged from the hospital. I had to call a few minutes ago because my mom needs assistance since she’s not able to fully move on her own. She said that the nurse who helped change her adult diaper, turned her too far, she wasn’t able to reach the remote to call for help, she said that she felt fluid leak out from a pouch that has on her abdomen (she had the paracentesis done at the hospital before being discharged).

No matter what name they change their business to, Chandler, Chestnut and now Pacific Park, it should be one word: RUN. Poorly owned and managed, staff are in and out like a revolving door. Poor patient care ~ administrator and consultants have no idea what they're doing and score themselves a poor score for not doing their job. Laughable. No matter how much you go to church to ask for forgiveness, money is their god. It's an eat or be eaten kind of place.
