Saved my life. Mainstream medical did nothing but make me the butt of their jokes, my symptoms were so varied and made no sense. Dr Mast took me seriously. Listened to a condensed version of my long history. Which NO other doctor ever had. Dr. Mast was kind and had the rare gift of empathy, had a sense of humor, but for once the jokes weren't aimed at me. Yet at the same time, he was very professional. Since my lymes test was positive, he treated me for that, for a few years. Gave me a LONG list of optional things that people had claimed helped, but said it was totally up to me. I paid a small deductible fee every time, but same as any other clinic does. Other than that, I never recieved any bill. After a few years, and some symptoms clearing up but others worsening. I had huge cord-lik
Dr. Mast has changed my sons life who as Bartonella, autoimmunity and severe autism. He is much more functional again and is engaged. Due to his co-infection of Lyme, he seemed lost, confused and in pain. He is non-verbal so it is always hard to know how he is feeling emotionally and physically. Dr Mast has guided him on his path to recovery from this debilitating disease. His compassion as a doctor is like no other, especially dealing with special needs. I am forever grateful……
I have mixed feelings about Dr. Mast. I went because I had recurring fevers every two weeks that would knock me out for 24 hours. Several specialists at Geisinger couldn't diagnose it. One of them actually wrote in my chart that it was most likely anxiety (insert eye roll here). A blood test during one of my fevers showed elevated white blood cells, so I had an infection. My primary care doctor would have put me on antibiotics for a few weeks with presumed tick borne illness, but I had heard from a friend with Lyme that there are some people who might need treatment for longer than 2 weeks. Because I had been spending so much time outside, there's a good chance I had Lyme so I went to Dr. Mast on this recommendation. After hearing my symptoms, looking at my tongue, and doing an exam by tou
Dr. Mast helped me tremendously when other doctors did not. One doctor I saw did not believe in Lyme itself, let alone chronic Lyme. No one would test me for 3 years, why? Because I never knew of a tick bite nor did I ever have a bulls eye rash! Of course the general blood tests were done....nothing. Something was seriously wrong, I felt terrible, foggy brain, extreme fatigue, bedridden. Then I was tested...HIGH on Western Blot test!!! That was 17 yrs ago. Dr. Mast was Heaven sent for me. It was a long journey for me and no one could ever imagine how sick I felt, I thought I was going crazy. The office staff were very caring. I also recommended him to others, they also were treated and are better.
Dr. Mast saved my life. I have a lifetime of autoimmune diseases and Dr. Mast got me through the craziness of my numerous ailments with chronic Lyme's on top of it all. I am forever grateful and highly recommend him. He was authentic and honest with the reality of my situation.
