Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Rehabilitation Program

I just got off the phone with a coordinator who told me that everything gets worse as we age! 🤯🤯🤯🤯 What a toxic, sexist, agist thing to say to a patient that's trying to get medical care and get better! The mother-daughter chain of misogynistic pain runs deep because this was one woman saying that to another woman. I had to tell her that we get better as we age through our own choices on a daily basis, that I took up acrobatics in my 40s and my grandmother got a new career when she was 80 and retired when she was 90! Your choices create your body and your reality, including your limiting beliefs! I had to correct this person and tell them that living past age 30 isn't a death sentence. A rotten attitude is. How can anyone get better by going to a medical facility with such beliefs!?

Worst place. Not surprised they have a low review rating. The front desk girl (her name is Unis) was unprofessional, disrespectful and her approach was that of an amateur. I called to make an appointment for physical therapy and she changed the story 3 times. First she said referral expired Jan 2025. Then she said it actually expired April 2025. And finally she said, “it hasn’t been approved yet”. When I expressed being unclear, she raised her tone at me and justified her reaction. I reminded her that she had originally said “yes” when I asked her if I could set up an appointment with her. She would have wasted my time had I scheduled only to find out once there that my referral had not been approved. Last August, my mother suffered a severe injury to her hand and arm. Since then, she has undergone two surgeries and received physical therapy, which has led to significant improvement in her condition. After her first surgery with Dr. Seruya in October of last year, my mother visited Cedars-Sinai OT. At that time, she was experiencing severe pain in her hand and could hardly use it. Thinking back to those difficult days still fills my heart with sorrow. Horrible place. They recommend one time a week for most of their patients--regardless of need. Plus they focus on giving you home exercises instead of the physical therapy you need.

Decent place for therapy IF you can get in. Cedars spends LOTS of money advertising to acquire more and more patients INSTEAD of hiring more staff so they can't see you for months! Good luck if you need to keep or regain range of motion.
