Catholic Charities Fort Worth Dental Clinic

I had a positive experience at the Fort Worth Catholic Charities Dental Clinic. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on making you feel comfortable. From the moment I arrived, they took the time to explain everything and really helped ease any anxiety I had. One thing to be aware of is that if you need an extraction, they may refer you to JPS Dental Clinic. I initially found that a bit surprising, but I appreciated their honesty and professionalism in referring me rather than attempting something they weren’t able or comfortable doing. JPS offers a sliding-scale payment option, which is helpful if cost is a concern. Also, if you are uninsured, be prepared to pay out of pocket at Catholic Charities. Their rates are only slightly lower than a regular dentist. Because

I had an excellent experience at Catholic Charities for my annual cleaning and dental work. Dr. Ramona Applewhite and my hygienist, Chantae, were both very professional, courteous, and proficient. They made sure I was comfortable and kept me fully informed about what was happening throughout the process, which I really appreciated. The entire staff was also very friendly, attentive, and efficient, creating a warm and welcoming environment from start to finish. I truly value the care and attention Dr. Applewhite, Chantae, and the team provided, and I would highly recommend their dental services!

I was not impressed! They want $78 upfront to book you a appointment for exam and X-rays. You must pay in advance to get the appointment. A root canal is $900, and a crown is also $900! I can get a root canal and crown in Mexico for $500 for both! That’s $250 for the root canal, and $250 for the crown. This is just across the border, but gets cheaper further into Mexico. There are some dentists here charging $1500 for a root canal, so maybe you could say this is a reduced rate? It’s still too expensive, and not really helping the poor! I’m pretty sure what happened was the funding got cut off by the Trump Administration for facilitating illegal migration into the United States. They are not getting enough funds from the church members.

Thankful for this organization and the help they provide for the community! Was able to get same day service for a tooth extraction at an affordable price without insurance.

I've had really great experiences with this clinic. I've had a cleaning and a mouthguard made (each of my visits were within 1 hour) and I also had their receptionist, Claudia I believe, print out a few things for me which I really appreciated. This dentist office is really calm and everyone is so nice. I'm usually very nervous for dentist appointments but not so much anymore. I will be recommending to others💕
