Having a child with special needs means we’re constantly having visits to different specialist offices. While this can be emotionally taxing for the both of us we always appreciate the ones that try and make it easier by having a comfortable kid friendly environment! But never in a million years did I expect to make a random Facebook post about how much my daughter was enjoying her cardiologist office’s baby sized rocking chairs and them care enough about her to see it and buy her her very own little chair ❤️ It makes my mama heart so happy to know that my baby isn’t just another patient to them, she matters and they truly care about their babies at Carolina Children’s Heart Specialist 🥰 Dr. Fairbrother is truly the best!

My wife and I brought our 8 month old son for a follow up checkup on his heart; Our original cardiologist was in Raleigh, but we wanted something closer to home. From the moment we walk through the door, the staff have been nothing but accommodating and kind. In particular, Dr. Fairbrother put our minds at ease, all the while performing a thorough check up of our son and addressed any and all questions we had. Ultimately, the visit yielded the good news that we would not need to see a cardiologist again, but if we did, we would certainly come here in a hurry.

The appointment went well though the follow up communication was lacking. I sent several emails and calls with no return call/message. Please work on this. We now see a provider at Wakemed Peds who is super responsive to any question I have outside of an appointment. I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to wait for a return call or response when it comes to your child.

Dr. Fairbrother and staff were calm, patient, and friendly and took time to listen, explain, and reassure. The building was clean and kid friendly; decorated (by his wife- who is so nice and great with kids and did an amazing job getting an ECHO on our squirmy 1 yr old) in a cute, homey style rather than a stuffy, scary medical office style. We did not have to wait, and there were no excessive or unnecessary tests or procedures done. Dr. Fairbrother saw and examined our son prior to ordering the test and saw us again to explain results. We are glad everything checked out fine and we don't have to come back, but highly recommend this facility!

Dr. Fairbrother and his staff are absolutely AMAZING! My 17 year old daughter has had plenty of follow-up's with physicians over the past 14 years and Carolina Children's Heart Specialists is now our favorite! We felt very comfortable and welcome. I recommend this company to any parent who wants the best for their children with past or present heart conditions.
