Carlos Martin

I used to be a patient & family friend of Dr. Severs, who sold this practice to Carlos A. Martinez, DDS many years ago. About a decade ago, the building was damaged & it took a long time to remodel. I noticed that once it was remodeled, the name on the front changed to Carlos A. Martin, DDS. Hmmm, was he suddenly American & not Hispanic? This seemed very sketchy to me, so I called to inquire about the change. I asked the lady who answered if there used to be a Dr. Martinez there? She said, and I quote, "Oh that's him, Martin is just an EASIER WAY TO PRONOUNCE it"!!!!!!! I said, incredulously, "NO, they are 2 COMPLETELY different names with 2 less letters!!! Martinez is Hispanic & Martin is English. That's misrepresentation"!!! She hung up. I guess 'becoming' English was better for adverti
