Carl Gaterbaum, OD

Dr. Carl Gaterbaum is a superb doctor of optometry. His thoroughness extends beyond a complete eye exam to the explanation of current conditions and sensible recommendations as to what should be done in the future. I highly recommend him and his office staff (surprising that a few other reviews commented very favorably on him but still rated him down due to a perceived lack of courtesy by a staff member).

I have been going to Dr. Gaterbaum for nearly 9 years now, and I can not recommend him highly enough. He is caring, compassionate, professional, and exceptional in his knowledge and treatment of his patients. His staff goes above and beyond to reflect his commitment to the highest standards of patient care. Most importantly, he takes the time to listen and explain things, his focus is clearly on each patient and their needs. He truly is a terrific doctor.

I live in Michigan, when I am in Florida and need my Eyes checked. This is where I go! Both Doctors are fantastic, they listen and spend appropriate time with you. Be appreciative of them and you won't be disappointed. Remember, treat people as you want to be treated.....It works both ways.

Dr. Gaterbaum and staff are absolutely wonderful. No one cares more about his patients than Dr. Gaterbaum. I come to him from Winter Springs and would never change. Thank you, Dr. Gaterbaum.

Dr. Gaterbaum was excellent and the exams (which are more expensive than other optometrists in Orlando) are very good and worth it---but the office claims processor caused a lot of problems with my insurance and was snooty. Why don't doctors care about hiring good customer service staff? Those folks can make or break new business.
