From the beginning when our son was a toddler and our daughter was just an infant, we’ve been continually impressed with the level of care, attention to detail, and genuine kindness we’ve experienced here. Dr. Trout communicates thoroughly and thoughtfully, always taking the time to explain things clearly and answer questions. His staff is equally wonderful. They are friendly, professional, and patient with children of all ages. We went to Dr Trout for my son who needed quite a bit of work done as a result of a prior medical issue. Some of the work that needed to be done was time sensitive and this was communicated to the office. We were seen early July. I was told I would receive a call back within the next week or so once they got the insurance approval back. It is now the 1st week of August, and I have not received a call back to even get the appointment scheduled. I have been able to find a new pediatric dentist, get in for the initial exam, the insurance has been sent in and approved, and the appointment for treatment has been scheduled, all before I have even received a call to schedule the appointment with Trout. Our 3 kiddos have been going to Dr. Trout for the past 8 years. Everyone from the receptionists to the dental assistants to Dr. Trout is extremely knowledgeable, kind and go above and beyond for any procedures or cleanings we have ever had!

We went to Dr. Trout's office to get a second opinion on our daugther. During the consult Dr. Trout and his assistant explained everything thoroughly and made sure we understood their recommendations. Our child was needing an extraction and our prior dental office was saying it needed to be done with an oral surgeon. Dr. Trout listened to us as parents and was very confident in being able to complete the extraction in office and without general anestesia. His staff got us in the very next week and they were all so welcoming when we showed up for the appointment. At check-in they spoke to our child- not me. Wasn’t told of any major problems until he decided to actually xray my child’s teeth, then was hit with a lot of work that needed to be done with thousands of dollars, due to his recommendation to anthesthetize vs numb her up and get it done. I had waited and waited for an insurance approval callback, and by that time had insurance changes. I rescheduled, the couldn’t get me in for 4 or more months. I thought someone might cancel, nope. Meanwhile a small problem got bigger and her cavity was really hurting her and we had to do an emergency with a dentist while away. Got back and after running into more insurance issues, they blamed and dropped us. She could’ve had it fixed months ago with just some novacain but anesthesia and waiting makes more sense I guess. More $$$$
