Careworks Urgent Care

I had high hopes for this place being Geisinger, but this place is completely unprofessional. My fiancé couldn’t be seen by his doctor until his covid test came back and he needed treated for his symptoms because he was feeling awful. We came at 10:30, there was only two people ahead of him and the lady at the front desk had told him it would be about a 30min. wait. Well 30mins went by and she didn’t even have the decency to come out and apologize and tell him the doctor is running more behind than expected. He waited almost 2 hours to be seen. I had to come in and ask if she knew how much longer it would be and she immediately got a nasty attitude and said “this is a walk-in clinic, it will take however long it takes”. After being disrespected like that over a simple question we just walk

The staff was wonderful, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. They helped my son right away, and did not rush us. Even gave him a popsicle, took his blood pressure, and had him rest a while when he felt dizzy. I was so impressed and will look forward to returning.

I was a bit hesitant to go to this clinic based on the reviews but had a very positive experience overall! Easy to save a spot online, and I only waited about 15 minutes past my appointment time to be called back. The nurse and PA-C were incredibly friendly and personable, as well as the lady at the front desk. Got the recommendations I needed for my symptoms quickly!

The receptionist answering the phone would not take the time or make the effort to simply see if they take my insurance. I was told to call my insurance company and ask them. It was Sunday afternoon when insurance company’s are closed. As if this urgent care doesn’t know what insurance they take? With that type of service being the 1st contact with this company I can only imagine the type of care they give. Needless to I will not be going. Luckily, there are many choice choices in the state College area.

You know at one time I rated you guys a five. Over the past 2 years I don't know what happened with you, but to DORTHY SNYDER LISLE... I want to thank you very much for not giving a damn about my 5-year-old grandson. We told you that he had a cold off and on since around thanksgiving. We told you that he had been to his primary care provider and that he said it was viral. That was a week and a half before he saw you! We TOLD YOU that there was no improvement and he got worse and so after being sent home from school, he came to your facility the second time he was sent home. We told you we were concerned about walking pneumonia with the coughing. You listen to his lungs, heard a bit of a wheeze and sent him on his way with nothing! You didn't do a viral panel, didn't send them for a chest
