CareNow Urgent Care - Southside

I recently visited AppleCare Urgent Care for a pre-employment drug screening, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly nice, sweet, and genuinely helpful. They explained everything clearly, answered all my questions with patience, and kept the process running smoothly and efficiently. Even though it was a simple screening, they treated me with the same care and professionalism you'd expect during a full medical visit. The facility was clean, well-organized, and had a calm atmosphere that helped ease any nerves I had. Quiet, clean facility. Front desk staff respectful, pleasant, friendly and approachable. Service was prompt, ALL staff in the back pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.. a great experience.. would definitely recommend 👌

The Lady at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly explaining the process, Nurse were great administering those injections. And Dr. Capps were very knowledgeable and caring he knew what I needed right away to get some relief. Thank you!

Walked in at 7, they close at 7:30. Receptionist wanted nothing to do with me, said I couldn’t be seen. I understand the time constraints, but there was no one else there and I didn’t need long with the doctor as I was experiencing flu/sinus infection symptoms, was hoping for a simple antibiotic and whatever else to help. After she asked what I had going on I told her I felt absolutely terrible, she asked for my insurance card, watched me search for it for a few minutes… I finally asked if it was in there from the last time I visited and she told me it was out of network. I would have easily paid out of pocket due to how I was feeling but her overall demeanor and unwelcoming attitude made me feel worse than I already was, I really didn’t trust the care I would have received if I had paid.

I went here back in May when I started having intense pain after a car accident. The staff were rude. They were focused more on billing and payment eventhough I made it very clear I was able to pay cash upfront (which I did). No discounts or assistance needed. The doctor dismissed my concerns, because I appeared to have a normal range of motion (I do Pilates style workouts 5 days per week). The pain persisted for 6 weeks and continues to return sporadically. It turns out I have two bulging discs in my spine. The doctor did not offer imaging or a referral or anything - Just a steroid shot and pain meds which I declined.
