CareNow Urgent Care - Silverado & Maryland

I have mixed feelings about this place but let's get a couple things clear up front. This place was recommended to me through Humana, so I figured since it was in their Network it would be a standard deal. I am definitely going to reach out to them and see what the heck is up. Secondly, the place is very easy to find, and has plenty of parking. The waiting room is huge like there was at least 50 chairs. The lady at the front was very very kind, walked me through the process and made it easy to get checked in Getting into the room, the attending nurse was great, very friendly, treated me like a human being, got all my stats, we chit-chatted, and got everything done that I needed before the doctor showed up. I walked in for severe urticaria over my entire body (super uncomfortable) at 7:50pm, when they close at 8pm. The site assured me that I could walk-in to be seen and so do the entrance doors (“NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY” “8:00am - 8:00pm). The ladies at the front said their manager said they could “stop accepting walk-ins early today”, so that’s what they told me and told me to go to a 24-hour location. Customer service is not the same these days, and it especially scares me in healthcare. Why have/work at this sort of establishment if you’re not genuinely trying to help and care for patients from open to close or from the beginning of your designated shift to the end? All I saw was a business and its employees trying to get off as soon as possible regardless of if it inconveniences patients

Cynthia was excellent throughout the entire process. She promptly addressed an issue with the software when it required both an E specimen and a split specimen, even though I had only been ordered to complete an E specimen. She efficiently resolved the discrepancy and ensured everything was handled correctly. Cynthia provided clear and specific instructions to ensure the test was performed properly, preventing any complications. The check-in process was smooth, and any necessary corrections were made without difficulty. I appreciate that everything was completed correctly on the first attempt.

This location is the only Urgent care I will go to. My experience has always been very pleasant, the staff is very helpful, professional and make you feel like they got you and your in good care. Unfortunately I broke my ankle and had to visit my favorite urgent care on 2/24. Again amazing experience I would like to give shout-out to Eclipse, Lisette, Cynthia, Moi, Elise Erwin. I highly recommend this CareNow location. The medical assistant, Cynthia, is truly kind and has excellent customer service. The nurse practitioner, Elise, is amazing with kids, she honestly should be a pediatrician. My daughter has autism, and she does so well with her. That means everything to me as a mom. Quality healthcare especially on an emergency basis can be hard to find, but we experienced just that here. Thank you so much, Elise and Cynthia!
