CareNow Urgent Care - Presidio Vista

All an opinion: do not use care now. I was charger $500 for a 15 minute virtual appointment. They couldn’t even give me an estimate of price before treatment. If you like shopping and not knowing the price until after checking out this is your place! They also won’t work with you in any form of price reduction when you call. They also threaten to send the bill to collections! This is everything wrong with the health care industry! They are sharks taking advantage of sick people.

I came here for a DOT random drug test required by my employer. I tried to provide a urine sample, but it was not enough. The staff told me to drink water and wait, which I did. When I was ready again, they told me I had to start over with a completely new sample. I explained that I could not wait another long period because of work. The front desk employee told me to leave and come back the next day with a new appointment. She said this would not be a problem. Later, I learned that leaving counted as a refusal. Because of the wrong information they gave me, I now have major issues with my job and DOT compliance. This has cost me time, money, and stress. I saw Lauren Loyd, MSN, FNP-C tonight, at CareNow- Presidio Vista (Alliance). She was personable and extremely thorough! The staff were ALL amazing- front desk, med asst, & x-ray tech! The clinic was spotless, plenty of chairs, & VERY good/relevant healthcare info playing on the TV! * Only complaint- I saw a coffee machine, but no coffee.. what gives guys? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Thank you all SO MUCH!!! I had an excellent experience at CareNow Urgent Care in Presidio Vista. The staff was professional, efficient, and kind from the moment I walked in. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and I was seen in a timely manner. The medical team took my concerns seriously, explained things clearly, and made sure I understood my next steps. I especially appreciated how thorough they were in ordering X-rays and reviewing my situation with me. I felt heard and well cared for. The facility was clean, organized, and well run, which added to the peace of mind. Overall, I left feeling confident in the care I received and grateful for the service. Highly recommend this location for anyone in need of urgent care.

My wife went in on Monday…. They stated she had a sinus infection and an ear infection. Gave her a steroid shot and Amoxicillin. 4 days later she is still so congested. She called them to see if they could call in a prescription for her congestion and they said no, that she would have to be re-seen and pay $225 more dollars… Absolutely ridiculous… if you have a regular doctor go to them. This place is a ripoff. We moved here over 15 years ago and don’t have a family doctor because we are never sick, thank the Lord…. But I don’t recommend this place at all! Poor customer service too.
