CareNow Urgent Care - Georgetown Williams Drive

I use CareNow Urgent Care when I cannot get in to see my primary care physician. I have used CareNot for several years. The staff and the medical care has always been great. There is a wait at times, but not generally long. I would recommend CareNow for any emergent care you might need.

0 stars if that were an option. I called beforehand and specifically asked if they performed a procedure I needed and was told yes. After arriving, I was charged $180 before seeing anyone, only for the doctor to walk in and say they don’t even offer that procedure. Now I’m being charged an additional $87 days later for no service at all. They should let me know if there is a balance and i should have authorized that second payment. Completely misleading. a waste of time and money. Avoid this place.

Don’t waste your time with these people. Daughter went New’s Day with fever, ear pain, sore throat, heavy congestion. Told them she was flying back to Florida in 2 days. Glanced over her and never checked ears. Sent her home with no prescriptions. She then went to Scott and White. Was prescribed antibiotics and steroid. Flew back feeling much better. Beware!!!

Creating an appointment - after registering your profile of course - was easy and CareNow kept in touch with me through txt msgs constantly. The wait once I arrived at the site was less than 10 minutes, and there was virtually no wait before the PA saw me, took my history and handed me off to the Dr. No waiting for him either and my visit was completed in less than 30 minutes. Also, every question I asked Bailey, the PA, or my Dr., Michael Simpson, was answered completely and as an adult. No one likes to go to the doctor, but if you have to, try this location or hope that the team who serves you is as professional and courteous as these two.

I would give it a five star except the Registration process is inefficient, redundant, long and frustrating. Duplicate information is required on multiple pages/documents. With today’s technology it should not be necessary. In addition, copies of radiology (x-rays) are not available on CD’S. Instead it is sent to the patient via e-mail. However, the link to open the file is valid only for 30 days. Therefore the image cannot be shared with another provider after 30 days. The staff and the doctor were friendly, courteous and efficient.
