This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve ever had in a medical office. When I arrived, a young woman working at the front desk appeared to be receiving criticism from a staff member. The interaction was tense and uncomfortable to witness. During this time, I was unable to pull up my registration form on my phone, and a staff member — whom I later learned was named Alex — said, “Just do the paper,” without making eye contact. I was unsure if she was speaking to me because she never looked up. What was most concerning was that the staff member proceeded to reprimand and terminate the front desk employee in front of patients in the lobby, stating, “I just have to keep telling you the same thing over and over.” I was shocked. On Saturday, February 28 at approximately 4:40 PM, I walked into FirstCare Urgent Care because I was experiencing an unusual sensation in my chest near my heart. The feeling had been occurring intermittently for two days and had become more consistent that day. At 41 years old, I wanted to rule out a potential cardiac issue. When I arrived, I specifically asked whether they had an EKG machine and whether they were capable of running tests to evaluate my heart. I was told they did. Based on that representation, I chose to proceed with care at that facility. What I was not aware of at the time is that their capability appears to be limited to performing a single EKG — without the ability to run additional cardiac labs, monitoring, or further evaluation. I'm so appreciative of the care that Dr. Karen gave my elderly mom. She was very attentive, detailed and just overall, so caring. The kind of care a family member would have and it eases my mind knowing that. I would also like to say how wonderful Alex (the Medical Assistant) was as well. She is very patient and empathetic, they both were. This Urgent Care is the only Urgent Care my family and I will go to. Again, thank you.

The office was clean.The staff was friendly. My PA listen and had great bedside mannor. It made me feel she really cared. I flew back to Las Vegas on a plane for 7 hours. My eardrum was bleeding. My daughter and I arrived this morning to the most friendly welcome.... Am out of state visiting and the slight emergency was unnerving enough to warrant the wonderful bedside manner of my nurse practitioner. She was wonderful. I wish I could remember her name. She was friendly, patient and inquisitive about what my circumstances were. Handled my care with detail and grace. The care I received today was exceptional.
