CareFirst Urgent Care - Beechmont

I don't like leaving 1 stars, but I don't want anyone else to waste 2+ hours of their time here. I'm currently being seen here, kind of. Waited over an hour to get called back to a room. Then another 30 minutes for a nurse to come in (after I opened the door). It's been about 30 minutes since the nurse left with the tests. I've been here 2 hours and haven't seen the DR. I'm not sure if they're always this slow, but I absolutely will not be back to this location. Waiting this long when there are no other patients shows me how they care about their patients and image- they don't. Would avoid this location at all cost if I were you.

Give credit where credit is due. The entire experience was fantastic. My son had cut his hand on a light fixture with his tendon showing and required a couple stitches. I scheduled an appointment online (same day within 2 hours of injury) Showed up probably 20 mins early. I apologized for being early but they took him right in (he was sitting in an exam room within 5 mins of walking in the door). Front desk was so compassionate and energetic. The NP was amazing, got him fixed up in no time. For his first set of stitches she kept reassuring and making sure he was okay. It was only a couple of stitches but they turned out great. We were in and out within an hour.

Despite being sick of course it was a great experience. The receptionist was very friendly and answered my questions about pricing. The provider Emma was also excellent! Very thorough and gave great explanations about medications! Would highly recommend!

I was able to get in and be evaluated quickly. The nurse practitioner took the time to listen to me and examine me. She came up with a care plan that helped me get feeling better within a couple days. It probably prevented me from developing pneumonia.

I want to share my experience with CareFirst Urgent Care. I had a walk in appointment and a virtual one. With Beechmont office, the stuff is friendly and helpful, doctor Emma is amazing! And then my virtual appointment with doctor Valentina was super cool! Update: so, I’m a bit disappointed with this virtual experience so far. I requested a note for my kids school and they never sent it to me. I waited. Text messaged them. Waited again and sent them an email. No result. Looks like they don’t care for their patients as soon as your visit time is over.
