Carbon Health Urgent Care Westminster - Shops at Walnut Creek

I was not looking forward to taking my 18 year old to urgent care. Our past experiences were truly horrible! My online search found Carbon Health. The location was close, the office pictures looked clean and modern, and I was able to make an appointment to arrive in 30 minutes which was a bonus. We were in and out within 30 minutes! The front desk receptionists were efficient and kind. Dana saw my son, answered questions and diagnosed him quickly! No one wants to go to Urgent Care but if you need to, I recommend Carbon Health in Westminister!

I got in immediately when I arrived at my scheduled time. The person at the front desk was very nice and professional. The person who took me was one of the rudest people I've been involved with. Her name was Jenn. She "barked" all of her questions at me and showed NO compassion for me with the pain I was in. The provider, Dana, was pleasant and very professional. She addressed all my concerns. This was an efficient appointment and I appreciate that. However, the bad experience with the "MA" made it very uncomfortable. If not for her I would have given a 5. Star review

They were very efficient and friendly. I had injured my ankle and knee and wanted to get it xrayed to see if there was anything broken. I called Carbon health urgent care in Westminster. The lady at the front deal was very helpful and I was able to get an appt for a half hour later. Check in was quick. The nurse noticed I was having a difficult time walking and got a wheel chair for me. She also was very friendly. The Dr came in and looked at my ankle and knee and said I should get it xrayed. I didn't even have to leave the room. They have a portable xray machine they brought in. With in 5-10 min after they took the X-rays the Dr was back in to show me the X-rays and let me know nothing was broken. Short story: I was lied to by multiple staff members and charged $185 extra. Long story: I visited after making an appointment specifically for an x-ray. I was charged the $185 visit price at the front desk. As soon as I got back to the room, I was told they didn't have an x-ray tech working, so I couldn’t have an x-ray done that day. I immediately asked "Should I come back on a different day? I don't want to be billed for today's visit just to have to pay for a visit again when I come back for the x-ray." I was assured by the staff member that I wouldn't be charged if I came back on a different day, and the head provider told me the same thing when I saw her. I came back two days later to be told I'd be billed for the visit again. I asked the check-in staff to please confirm that,

I walked in without an appointment to get a rapid strep test on a Friday morning and had no wait. It was my first time in, and it was easy to get checked in for a quick appointment. The self pay rate for the appointment was $160 and the strep test was $19. The nurse and doctor I met with were very kind so was the person at the front desk. The office was very clean and the decorations are nice in the lobby. It's very welcoming feeling. They even offered me a bottle of water. Overall it was a nice experience and I would consider them again if I need a quick same-day appointment.
