Carbon Health Urgent Care San Jose - Almaden Ranch

My experience with Carbon Health Urgent Care has been pleasant and positive so far. From parking space, waiting time, service to follow up appointment, it has been a breeze. I like the fact that this location is conveniently located and there are ample parking spaces. I enjoy the bright morning sun shining through the place's big floor-to-ceiling windows. The staff promptly checked me in, had me sign a few paperwork and asked me to sit down to wait for my turn. The whole process took like 5-7 minutes only. Within 5 minutes, my name was called. I was led into a spacious, neat and clean exam room. After my vitals were taken, a PA quickly came in to discuss my health issue with me. He was professional and attentive in my opinion. My entire appointment from start to finish took like 35 min

I had a very bad experience at this clinic. I came for a physical after being referred by another Carbon Health location, and even though my insurance covers two physicals a year, the staff kept insisting I would be charged $140 until I explained it several times. The blood draw was terrible—they used multiple needles and struggled so badly that both of my arms were swollen and bruised. It felt like they didn’t know what they were doing, and they had to call someone else to finish it. After I left, they called saying I still needed a urine test, which they never told me before. I had to take an Uber back, but the front desk guy was rude, took forever to listen, stayed on his phone, and then sent me to another clinic. I found carbon health urgent care by chance, I had concerns about my Bp and needed to get it checked asap! My experience as a first time patient, was everything and more that I expected! From the front desk, the assistant and the doctor, every one did their part to give me the best care, Dr Amy knew exactly what to do to take care of my concerns!! Every one was so friendly and so professional, I would recommend it to anyone in need if urgent care!!

I have been here few times. The people at reception are so rude, like I haven’t seen people this rude anywhere. The doctors here hardly knowledgable, they seem lacking basic credentials and it’s a pure rip off tbh. They charge exorbitant amount (like super specialists fees for an amateur service) unnecessarily for visits. AVOID Update as per their request below: 1. The reception staff is not helpful and they talk in a condescending tone. I specifically asked I cannot see the results in the app, and they were so rude in showing it on the app. Every hospital use their own app, and I did not see why it was not a genuine question. 2. My experience at Carbon Health Urgent Care was excellent! The staff were friendly, professional, and really knew how to take care of my concerns. The facility is clean, bright, and convenient with plenty of parking.
