Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital

My sister and I brought my 90 y/o dad into the ER Wednesday morning after a fall. Dr. Sarah Lamb was his provider and she was wonderful. De. Lamb was caring, compassionate and very efficient. My dad had an X-ray and a CT. The three techs performing those were also great. They worked as a team and took wonderful care of my Dad and his fractured hip. Thanks to all of you for such quality care and professionalism.

Lived in bladen county going in 3 years now and this is the 1st time I went to this hospital. The staff is very nice. I did wait 6.5 hours in the waiting room. Once I finally got called to the back they put me on a bed in the hallway. They looked at my back and gave me 4 Percocets and I was on my way. Once I was finally in the back I felt like it was all rushed just to get me off a bed and out the door. I felt like they did the bare minimum. I'm just disappointed in the care. Fast forward 3 days later and I'm at the urgent care for the same severe back pain.

I was admitted there for 2 and a half weeks. My stay was great no complaints at all. The staff was very friendly and very nice. One of the cleanest hospitals I ever been to. Special thanks to some of the staff that made my stay calm and easy. Essence the first shift nurse assistant very professional. Justin the rn made sure I was good and checked in and asked was I ok. The wound care lady that treated my foot she was so nice and very knowledgeable I will miss her for sure. Ashley with food and nutrition made sure my food was perfect. Patricia the rn very very nice. I was told to be there a half hour early and ended up waiting for an hour and a half to be seen. I was establishing as a new patient and brought all my medical records in as the office mandates prior to a visit. The doctor didn’t look at any of the medical records nor believe me when I told her the medications I was on and why. As a result of that visit she denied several medications that I have been taking for 6 years, as outlined by the 75+ pages medical records that I provided. It took me three phone calls and specifically pointing out the page numbers in my medical records to finally have her give me the prescriptions. Very good. Arrived around 4:00am and I was immediately waited on very professionally. Everyone was so kind and considerate. All of the nurses, drs., the entire staff on the med surg floor were great. The cafeteria staff, and the people who cleaned deserves a great compliment as well.
