Canterbury House

They have really been helping me. The pt and ot are top notch. The nursing staff is overwhelmed but they do really care. The admission people are awesome. Terra is really cool and nice and cares. The social worker here McKenna really really cares. The food is not bad. I really thought it would be like hospital food but It is home cooking. The only complaint I have is my next door neighbor is really loud. Oh and have snacks and sodas or drinks so that when the kitchen closes you have something besides water. Most of my neighbors are really nice people. The smell of urine is strong. They don't change the linen very often. You have to ask for your meds.

I came here because I was very ill. I ended up coding twice in the hospital. All the staff here is super nice and very caring. Bob, Hollie, Modesty, Jeanna, and Leand and everyone else is super nice and respectful. From the bottom of my heart, I will never forget how great everyone is. I spent two weeks at Canterbury House rehabilitating after a hospital stay. The first day was rough. It may have been because my ride was late, but no one met me when I arrived that first night. I really had no idea what to do. They had just shampooed the carpets and the stench was horrendous! My wife brought an air freshener for the room. It wasn't so bad after that and I may have become desensitized, but they need to do something about the smell after cleaning the carpet. It was done in my room a couple of times because of my roommate’s incontinence. Next, no one bothered to ask what I might want for dinner. I was brought a big pile of flavorless mac & cheese and mushy peas…I had my wife bring me outside food. For the first three days, I had no choice in what food I had. Finally, someone

I would like to recognize all the CNA, LPN, RN in the facility. Your dedication and commitment to providing quality care do not go unnoticed. Whether its offering comfort to a patient, supporting a family, or working long hours to meet the needs of others. I also want to give gratitude towards the administration team. Thank you for your hard work, problem solving, and dedication behind the scenes. Your efforts may not always be seen by everyone, but they are absolutely essential.

Hello. My name is Lionell and I just left the Canterbury House. My experience was over all pleasant. The admission team are wonderful. Those ladies make you feel welcome. Some of the nurses and CNA’s were great too. Also the activities team were great as well. There were some problems to be honest. Their response to the residents needs was very slow. There were times that I had to do things myself or just forget about it. Also the food quality and menu could improve. But there were a few people I will truly miss. And thank them as well. I did make some friends there.
