Calhoun Nursing Home

I will forever be thankful for the care my youngest son received during his time at Calhoun Nursing Home. Unfortunately my son was completely incapacitated which included an inability to talk or eat solid food due to a horrific accident. I live almost three hours away from this place so they would allow me to have FaceTime calls with my son in between my in person visits each week. His room was clean and attractive. The staff was attentive, caring and things are run professionally. I was pleased with the service they provided.

The people who work here are the best! Getting in and out is restricted due to the fact that they don't want to have one of the people they care for to wander outside unsupervised. This may cause a slight delay, but an understandable one. Once inside, there is always someone nearby to help you if you need it. The place has been going through some remodeling recently and is looking much better than it has in the past.

I've been here- if you read the reviews it says it is a 5 star nursing home. I beg to differ.. the CNA & nursing staff is always changing, food is mediocre w little room for change, rooms are bit cramped, housekeeping is hit and miss ..

The care and compassion I witness at this facility on a daily basis is humbling. The staff start the day off with a devotional and often times a song of praise at the nurses station. The facility is clean and is currently going through a renovation.

Cortney the attendance that watches over my grandson/son is amazing she keeps me up to date on everything that involves him and makes sure he is comfortable the home is amazing. Thank you Cortney for caring for ARMETRIUS!!!
