Butternut Family Dentistry: Michael Darling, DMD

Would give zero stars if I could. Went in for a cleaning and one of my filling broke. Came back to get it fixed and without even consulting me the dentist gave me 3 fillings! This is after he called me 'princess' (gag), and he stepped away for a few minutes in the middle of doing my filling to help someone else. When I confronted him about it I said "you're only fixing the one filling right?" And he said no we're doing 3, they needed to be done. Lies. I had no pain and the teeth were already drilled so I had to get the fillings at this point. Two weeks later one of my teeth hurts when it didn't hurt at all before. Please never go here, he's unprofessional and uncommunicative. He did 'apologize' for the lack of communication saying this isn't like him but I didn't believe a word of it.

I have had a myriad of scheduling issues with this place. First, they never answer their phones. Secondly, they once gaslit me into believing my 8am appointment was at 9am and that they have never been open at 8am. Spoiler: I found the appointment card and it said 8am. I tried to call all week after getting no confirmation call about my Tuesday appointment. Today, I decided to try going only to see the entire location is now only open on Fridays?! I was never called to reschedule my appointment, nothing. Door was locked, there was no way I could get in. Also pretty sure their voicemail is busted? It is two overlapping voices asking for a passcode.

This dentist office is the best dental office I’ve been too! I came in after not being able to see a dentist for 7 years and the staff was so kind with me, they have rules that they are VERY clear about (calling 24hrs before your appointment to confirm, etc.) which are placed near the entrances and on the clipboards so people are aware. The dental assistant and Dr Darling were very kind and forward with me. Dr Darling let me know I needed some fillings and explained to me how the procedure would go (and even showed me the pictures from the x-rays in where I needed the fillings!) no one shamed me for not being to the dentist in a while or was rude to me in the slightest. Truly such a great dentist!!

He was the worst dentist I have ever been to. The Dr was very unprofessional. He had a major fit right there in front of me and told me he'd rather take himself out than fix my teeth because of the process it would be.

I have been going to Dr darling for about 11 years. I absolutely love him. However ever since covid started I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone in the office to be able to get appointments. I currently have a mouthful of broken teeth ( due to me getting covid like 4 times)
