I would not recommend this facility to my worst enemy. If your relative needs care, DO NOT send them here. There is a reason they don't show pictures of the inside of this building. Outside of a few aides and two nurses who were wonderful, this place is absolutely horrible. Staff will steal your belongings, promise to replace them and then don't. The food they provide patients/residents is absolutely appalling. The rooms are not cleaned like they are supposed to be. Outside of the few aides and two nurses mentioned above, staff is extremely rude and do not take care of patients the way they should. The nurse practitioner's only job seems to be how to manipulate a patient's family into keeping them there and making the patients believe they will die any day, whether it is true or not. The b

My mother went there today around 1 and I got her out when I saw her at 7pm . I would never ever send anyone or anything thing. We walk in her room her lips are blue cant stay awake Place is dirty smelled like urine . Feet were sticking with every step I took . There was blood on the sink urine bags full of urine in bathroom . Also dirty towels on hallway floors . The main nurse on the floor has an attitude and said that's how she got dropped off her from the hospital . The supervisor understood my concern and was very nice when talking to her . But I would think twice before you put anyone in there. There was a paper saying room was last cleaned on March 30th well today is April 10th I'm sorry and there so so so much more going on and I will be posting pictures soon .

My cousin has been in there for the past 3 years as I visited her many times in those years . My last visit I found out that the activity guy Zack has been stealing her money for cigarettes. I have giving her money several times to get cigarettes and he charges her 13 bucks when he does get her cigarettes and buys her the 5 dollar pack of cigarettes. The few times before that he took the money and never bought her anything. Many of the staff acknowledge that he also steals the money from the snacks the residents buy off him. My next step is report it to the department of health and possibly even bring the local police to the building . I have reported several times to staff and they all agree he is a theif but nothing comes of it.

I was visiting a dear friend Taye Townley who is 78. Donna stopped into vlean the bathroom & was pleasant & cheerful executing ehat many would see as an disagreeable task. Donna took the time to greet me & Taye & to give the patient agency by asking her if this eas an ok time for cleaning. I was impressed w/ Donna’s professionalism! Irene Marie Grace

I have personally experienced the amazing transformation of so many here! The level of care regarding Nursing, Social Services and Physical/Occupational therapy is truly such a difference in some of these residents! I've personally seen some of these people Come To WeCare at Pennwood in a desolate, dire situation due to many different physical and internal health ailments who have had not a caring soul in their life. Well, once they've gotten to WeCare, their will to do better truly does a 180 and the next thing ya know they're being discharged with EVERY resource needed to stay on their personal health journey! I highly recommend this place, SIMPLY because the level of care from Housekeeping, Dietary, Activities, as well as the already mentioned departments os so apparent and truly genuin
