I would like to thank this Hospital workers for their kindness, empathy and care. My father is having heart surgery that was unexpected. Lineal the kind man working on floor 3 was so kind, so caring, so attentive and patient with us I wanted to give him a huge THANK YOU! Your kindness help put my anxiety to ease. And to our amazing nurse Becky on floor 2, you were so caring, sweet, kind, you made my father smile and laugh. Two days with you made it feel like you were family not just my dad’s nurse. I truly wanted to give this appreciation to these two amazing individuals that make this world a better place. Thank you Buffalo general from the valet, to the information, security, nurses, staff members, cafeteria workers, Tim hortons employees, to the Doctors who have my dad in surgery as we

My mom was in the ER after suffering from a stroke. I thought the nurse there were good, but not very friendly at all. Mom is now on the 14th floor. The nurses there have been really great, especially Kayla and Ria. Oh and the guy that does blood pressure. They were all really nice to my mom. Dr Wu was great, he returned calls to give updates on my mom's condition. However, Dr Adham had been TERRIBLE. I called multiple times two days and received NO RESPONSE. My Mother had a CT Scan and depending on the outcome she was possibly being moved to rehab the next day. No response. There is a lot involved in discharge and I can't even get an answer on whether my mom is being moved the next morning. So ridiculous.

* Update * Lori S did call me today so that she could address my concerns: - Due to being understaffed and being overburdened patient care will suffer. As Lori stated it is a nationwide issue and patients will need to get used to that - Rooms are shared no matter what the patient may have. So the patient that was brought in with possible COVID or pneumonia would share a room with a patient regardless of communicable disease. - In regard to the staff mocking patients, calling them names and so on she can’t say anything about that. She wasn’t there and unfortunately things can happen - Also for the cleanliness or lack of due to being understaffed some things are just missed. This place is so dirty the amount of regulars is crazy and the wait time is crazy way to long if your ekg is okay just lmk and I’ll go to my dr for a follow up if I need to stay okay I’ll wait. It’s just getting busier and I feel bad for people waiting and the staff. But the ER waiting room needs to be cleaned. Take pride this is Buffalo. So dirty in here and still waiting about 5 hours now in there waiting room and no one’s here when we got here now it’s full

Went to the ER after suffering a stroke. I was promptly treated by the attending ER Stroke Team and received outstanding treatment. I was then admitted for 2 nights, where I also received excellent care. Yes, I had to wait hours for a room. And yes, the food was nasty. But the prompt & excellent care I received minimized the effects of the stroke - and that's all that really counts.
