Buffalo Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing

I was there for about 7.5 months and I had a variety of health issues. In the beginning I wasn't a nice person to deal with. But it took me time and getting to know the lay of the land. The nurses and aides on the 2nd floor are great people to work with. I still keep in contact with some of the employees there. The rehab staff is the best I've ever dealt with. Pat,Russ,Lucas,Aaron,Ed,Faith,Casey,Cathy,Nate,Kapow. They all pushed me to go further with my exercises and NEVER GIVE UP on myself. I weighed 360 pounds when I arrived Feb 2025 and when I left Oct. 2025 I was under 300 pounds. Now I'm enrolled at Trilogy-rehab and I started a couple weeks ago and now I'm one on one with my trainer. Also I want to apologize to all the nurses and aides that took care of me while I was there! If I didn't have to leave a star I wouldn't. The staff is lazy, they expected for my father to lay in his own feces when he is aware that he has to use the restroom. He came there from Roswell he is a cancer patient and a veteran, he is only supposed to be there for two weeks for rehab, and we couldn't make through the weekend because of the staff passing the buck. He only there because I'm the only family member that's taking care of him and my transportation is limited.

Facility should be ashamed of itself. Full Garbage bags on floors, garbage overflowing in patient rooms, inattentive staff, everything was sticky. Staff dropping medical supplies on the floor and using them anyway on patients. Large bed sores that no staff members even knew about until we asked for someone to look. Laying in bed with soiled linens. Absolutely horrible to witness.

The food is inedible. Some nurses are angels. The desk staff is a crap shoot on getting reasonable questions answered. 2nd floor smells of urine and soiled sheets.

This is a good facility, very clean and everyone who works there cares.Very good morale which is essential to making elders and families alike comfortable with their quality of care.
