Brushwood Veterinary Clinic

After visiting several veterinary clinics since my primary vet retired, I discovered this wonderful practice through a Google search, and I'm so glad I did! Skye my 120 pound Rottweiler tends to get quite anxious about vet visits, despite being incredibly friendly. She's cautious when meeting new people, so finding a welcoming environment was a priority for us. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the level of care given to my dog. The two assistants were exceptionally kind and attentive, which helped her feel comfortable and significantly reduced her anxiety. Dr. Joe was fantastic—knowledgeable and reassuring, taking the time to address all my concerns thoroughly. The check out process was fast allowing me to get in and out with ease. I’ve been going to Brushwood for about 10 years now, and it’s always been such a laid-back, kind place that truly cared for my pets. Unfortunately, my last few visits have felt very different. The girls who work there are so sweet and always do such a great job — usually they get my dogs on the scale, go over vaccinations, and prepare everything before the doctor comes in. But during my last visits, the doctor came in abruptly, interrupting them the entire time. I couldn’t even comfort my dog while they were drawing blood because it felt like I had to stop and listen to him instead. You could see the girls were flustered and uncomfortable — their confidence just faded. All the staff besides the vet himself were great. They treated both myself and my cat with respect. As for the owner, horrible bedside manner. Made me feel like a terrible person for not choosing to get my cat her rabies vaccine knowing she is fighting a skin infection and was just given medication.. even with people, no doctor would recommend giving a vaccine knowing a person’s immune system is vulnerable while fighting an infection.

Today my daughter and I brought our little boy Z to see the vet. I like how the vets are blunt and straight to the point, no sugar coating!! On the way home, my daughter and I were discussing the nurse, Katie, that assisted with Z.. I’ve never met a more kind-hearted, compassionate human, who I truly believe was put on this earth to help animals. The way she connected with and calmed my anxious boy down was incredible. I couldn’t thank her enough before we left. It was very busy while there, you could tell they were running around, and this girl never skipped a beat. If you have the chance to go to this clinic, I highly recommend requesting Katie!

First time experience at brushwood was great! The Dr was very responsive and spent time with me explaining everything they did for willys checkup and all of His results. The staff is super professional (especially Kadi!) and my grumpy pitbull loved them all! Would highly recommend trusting this establishment with your pets. Pricing: The best around!
