Bridgeport Hospital Outpatient Radiology - Stratford

Never again. Had been going there for years. I guess the technician who used to do mammograms must have retired. The woman who did this one was terrible. Kept redirected me into the machine, misguided me several times and had to take multiple pictures. Also, this facility doesn’t give the results right away and usually have to wait weeks for results. I made an edit to my original review and added a star: within 24 hours my results were in My Chart but the Radiologist had not reviewed them. At least I know I’m ok. There are other facilities not part of Bridgeport Hospital that tell you immediately what your results are. I will be going there next time around. Although I feel I’m going to be getting a call for a retake because for the first time I don’t have the confidence she got good imag

Tech actually pinched and pulled the skin under my arm to adjust the position of my arm rather than ask me to move my arm or try to move my arm with with her hand. Hard enough to leave bruises on both arms. The machine wasn't nearly as uncomfortable as her pinches. I have worked in radiology and even at a breast imaging center and never seen that happen. I was told 1 - 2 weeks for results, which I found to be very odd and now 2.5 weeks later I am still waiting. When I called I was told they are "incredibly behind" and its likely that nothing is wrong since I haven't heard anything. I will not return, I cannot believe this is a part of Yale New Haven Health.

The nurse had an attitude from the moment I walked in the room. She was rough and actually hurt me. If this had been my first experience of a mammogram it would have put me off for life. She acted as if I was at fault when she did not get a good image instead of explaining what she needed. Previous encounters at this location were fine as the prior nurse was pleasant and gentle.Ultrasound tech was lovely.

I have had several mammograms and ultrasounds within the YNHH system; however, this was my first visit to their radiology center in Stratford. Unfortunately, it was not a positive experience. The mammography tech was rude and spoke to me in a condescending manner from the moment she brought me in from the waiting room. This is a difficult enough exam for me (as I am sure for most) without this added stress. Also, I was not told in advance that they do not have a radiologist on staff and results will not be available for 2 weeks.

I waited six days for my preventative scans to be read. Apparently this office expects you to wait one to two weeks for results. The technicians are nice but the turnaround time is unacceptable, I’m used to getting results the same day. If you go to the Greenwich office, even during covid times, you get the results the same day.
