My mom has been under BW of New Bedford care for 3 years. At 96, dementia has progressed and she needs much assistance as this devastating disease has taken its toll. The staff has been wonderful and caring. She is treated with dignity and respect. Our family could never have kept her safe at home, given the lack of resources for home care. We are grateful since there is a lack of local places offering similar services….allowing us to visit often.

My mom has been at this location for a few years. I can honestly say the RNs/LPNs that Ive come in contact on the 1-2nd floor are great. They show a real concern for my mom.

It is a horrible place and their practice of sedating patients needs to be investigated by the government. Nearly everyone there is on sedatives. They gave my father 400mg of Trazadone every day (the maximum legal dose), and other sedative medications as well. My father was not depressed and there was no reason to give him antidepressants other than to sedate him. My father had a stroke and was sent there by St. Luke's Hospital for his recovery. Although he had recovered from his stroke, he was held there against his will for months. It was not specifically the management's fault he was held there, but they violated their ethical obligation to ensure his discharge once it was apparent he had recovered. Terrible place I visited a friend there. Rude staff and this business was fined one of the largest fines ever, almost $500,000.00 in fines for sexual and physical abuse. Horrible place

Absolutely horrible, treating my gramma like a damn vegetable and no help, no people who speak English. Smells disgusting. No one at the front desk, and more.
