Braintree Pediatric Dental

My son is low functioning autistic. You might think that means a rough trip to the dentist every 6 months. Nope! Dr. John is one of my son's favorite trips. He just knows how to put my son at ease and somehow, keep him calm and happy, for dental work. To understand what we're dealing with here, My son can't sit for a haircut, but runs to get to his dentist appt. At my son's old school the teachers refer to Dr. John as the autism whisperer. He's earned that reputation in the decade plus that he's been seeing my son. I can't recommend Dr. John and Braintree Pediatric Dental strongly enough.

So sorry to the team for the loss of Dr. John, he will be missed by so many. Always had a great experience going here as a child when I was growing up.

I will say receptionist is very kind and sweet. However Dr. John I did not like. He comes out into waiting room at your first visit. He will talk to the child ONLY! Once brings child back in room he will come out ot talk to you. He explains he likes to get to know the patient and make him/her feel comfortable. My 11 year old is extremely shy. He was drilling her asking why she was there. She shut down and started to cry. He still kept drilling her. When I spoke afterwards to her orthodonist she straight out said mother to mother I would never send my kid to him! Awful traumatizing experience for my child!

I've always had issues coming here unfortunately. I do not like the w don't allow the parents in the back room with your child after age 5, and the dentist pulled both my kids teeth put BEFORE discussing it with me first!! That costs extra money not covered under insurance too. I'm very disappointed how they run a pediatric dental office. Receptionist very kind, but the male dentist does not treat parents the way he should. This was years ago, we stopped going after the last time he pulled 5 teeth w/o my knowledge prior. I usually don't do reviews but I felt this was important. Do your research before booking appointments, that was my error because I had a friend who brought their child here and at the time there weren't any issues.

Taking my 3 children here for over 18 years. Best service. Doctor is awesome. My kids excited about going to the dentist
