Hearing Aid PUSHERS! Absolutely Horrible Experience! Referred by my ENT to get a hearing baseline to help with an inner ear issue I was having, which is NOT hearing loss. Mine is just fine. Tony (audiologist?) told me that a non-employee man would be joining the appointment. When I asked why, he said he works for the equipment manufacturer, which I assumed was for the hearing test since that was the only reason for my appointment. The test results review was quick, and in no time, he started talking about “perfect hearing”. Before I knew it, he was slapping HEARING AIDS on me. He did NOT ask if I wanted to try them, or for my permission. This was a huge leap from no hearing complaints and MILD, age-appropriate hearing loss to a major life change. I would not recommend being seen here. They charged me $300 for the same hearing screening that I got for free at multiple other hearing aid clinics. This included a $200 charge for a "new patient exam", when I didn't even see their medical provider, only their hearing instrument specialist, who has no degree related to audiology. A clinic cannot charge a new patient exam unless the patient is seen face to face and evaluated by a provider. This did not happen and charging me for this is possibly billing fraud. Great team at Audiology & Hearing Aid Center! Jamie and the team were super helpful and professional. I went for SoundGear earplugs. They were knowledgeable on the product. The earplugs were better priced through Audiology over SoundGear's website! I was hesitant on going to Audiology based on some of the reviews. My mom came from the islands to live with us here in Idaho for multiple health issues. Aside from being legally blind to barely walking, she had a tremendous amount of hearing loss in both ears. It was really sad to see her struggling to understand what people are saying & we were constantly having to repeat ourselves...After her visit with Dr. Cynthia Olsen & being fitted with hearing aids, it was like someone flipped a switch. Mom can clearly hear everything now & it is so good to see her happily be a part of a conversation & there hasn't been a question of repeating things, unless she didn't have her hearing aids in!😂 Very thankful to Dr. Olsen & her expertise & for doing such an amazing job in helping my mom get one of her most needed senses back.
