As with most massage therapists, Rachel starts by asking what is giving me trouble. We decide on what needs the most work now. Unlike other massage therapists, there is never a sense that she is running through a checklist. She has an intuitive ability to find what is causing my discomfort and truly attending to it until it eases up. She's kind, caring, is willing to chat or be silent, changing music to suit me -- she provides me a much-needed monthly tune-up.

Rachel will give you the most mind blowing deep tissue massage, you'll never want to get off the table! There are massages that make you feel good in the moment, maybe for the day, but Rachel makes your body feel better for weeks because she gets deep into the muscles. Not to mention she's personable and friendly, an absolute pleasure to be around. Do your body a favor and get on the books with Rachel, you don't know how badly you need it until she turns you into butter...then it's hard to recall what life was like before her! Hopefully we'll never have to know that life again haha :)

I can't recommend Rachel at Body Awakenings enough. She's done magic for my should and neck tension. She is the most experienced therapist I've met, and I wouldn't recommend any other massage studio now that I've found the best. She takes the time to understand your specific goals and issues, and will ensure that you get the best massage technique out there.

Rachel is amazing. I had never had a massage before (mostly because I don't want anyone but my husband touching me.) I decided to have a Spa Day at my house for my daughter's birthday. Rachel came, set up her table, and I gave in. It felt so good. Looking forward to my next apt with her.

I was in Scottsdale for work and happened to sit next to Rachel for dinner at a restaurant bar. An hour or so into chatting with her I mentioned that my body was a mess from hikes and mountain biking recently and I was in search of a massage. Well, she just so happens to be one, and was able to fit me in on short notice 1 day later. I had an event that evening and I would not have been able to get through the event had I not gotten the massage that morning. Rachel was absolutely amazing, working on my legs and back. I highly, highly recommend going to her if you are in need/search of a massage!
