Blake Physical Therapy & Wellness

I received PT at Blake in Santa Monica for a period of about six months after sustaining a back injury that exacerbated two disc herniations in my lower spine. Brad, my physical therapist, was excellent. He is knowledgeable, gentle, and friendly, and made my recovery and rebuilding of strength into an enjoyable process. I also got a lot out of working with the assistants around the practice, who bring their own knowledge and experience into their work. I came weekly and always enjoyed the atmosphere, whether it was quieter or more lively on a given day. There was no sense of judgment or comparison, you can feel that everyone is rooting for you and for each other. Thank you, Blake!

I saw Dr. Mathieux (Andy) for a little over a year for treatment for pelvic pain. She is amazing! Super knowledgeable, very friendly, and always took my observations and feedback into account. The internal pelvic work was super effective and reduced my pain dramatically within the first couple months. After that, we did sustaining internal work and a solid exercise program to retrain ...pretty much everything, honestly. Andy and my PT aide Taylor basically taught me how to walk again! The exercise program was manageable to do from home, and Taylor was super great at identifying the changes I needed to make to my form and helping me correct them. I honestly love these ladies so much now! Admin staff is great too, very friendly and as a repeat patient they were very flexible with rescheduli

I went to Blake Jeffrey Blake Physical Therapy after receiving orthopedic surgery on my left shoulder. Jeff Blake is super nice and was able to apply the right deep tissue massage to my shoulder to increase the flexibility back to normal. All of the staff were super friendly as well, and they made what would have normally been boring, tedious rehabilitory exercise fun. My left shoulder is back to normal, in fact, I would say it is more stable then my right shoulder now. Oh let's see, what else...I never had any billing problems, and I never had to wait more than 5 minutes for Jeff (the physical therapist) to arrive. Way to go, guys!

Unprofessional employees. Assistant Alex sings loudly in the middle of the exercise room and takes umbridge when called out on it. Then she repeats the therapists request not to sing when patient has hyperacusis and can't tolerate the NOISE. Alex has severe attitude problems. The care is sub par.

Was not made feel like I was welcome. Was made do Same stuff every time. Shared time with others, nothing individual.
