I would just like to share the experience that we've had with Dr Blackwood for many years now. Dr blackwood and Dr Kopeland are both extremely wonderful and take very good care of my father. along with the entire staff that works with them that are wonderful as well we wouldn't go to anyone else. anyone considering joining them as a patient I would recommend you do so you won't be disappointed they're always available and emergencies. and they truly care about their patients.

I moved here in the summer of 2024 with my family so this is the only place we’ve been to and sadly thinking about changing. What started off as a good experience is sadly not trending. The walk in urgent care in the morning is great, and luckily my son can get in when he’s ill, but hardly ever to see his doctor because she’s not available. She is also my doctor as well, but is apparent part time. When I’m sick no one is available to see me same day or even the next unless I choose another doctor. My own annual visit this year has been pushed back twice because my doctor isn’t available. The recent rescheduling was because she’s on morning urgent care duty, so apparently their own patience arn’t as important as the urgent care service. This is a nice doctor's practice with a blood work lab right next door. Staff is friendly and the doctors are knowledgeable. My two complaints are that they ask you to arrive 30 mins before your appointment, which seems excessive to me. Also even after checking in online and completing all of the patient history, I was still asked to fill out physical paperwork with the sams questions as well as verbally asked all the questions a third time. Overall though I still like going here for my medical care.

Kristel Alexander- NP is the best in your office. Her attention to detail, her empathy, and the way she makes space for my concerns are unmatched. Every appointment feels thoughtful and grounded in genuine care. She doesn’t rush, she doesn’t dismiss, and she never treats my questions like an inconvenience. She consistently shows up with compassion and true advocacy, and the combination is extraordinary. She is truly exceptional, and that honestly cannot be said enough.

I have been a happy patient with Dr. Blackwood for almost two decades. Oh Wednesday, January 7, 2026, I called the office to reschedule an appointment because I was not feeling well. The receptionist was rude and condescending. In response, I told her she was denying my rights to healthcare and managing my reproductive health. She screamed at me and then hung up the phone. Five days later, I received a letter dismissing myself as a patient from their practice due to their “Zero Tolerance Policy.” I believe the receptionist, who is a new receptionist to the practice, violated my rights and the “Zero Tolerance Policy.” Instead of treating patients with respect, she abused her power by denying them access to care.
