⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an excellent experience and can’t say enough great things about this team. Dr. Alligood is knowledgeable, attentive, and truly takes the time to listen and explain everything clearly. I never felt rushed and felt confident in the care I received. Nurse Christy was absolutely wonderful—kind, patient, and very reassuring. She made me feel comfortable from start to finish and went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered. Sam, the front office manager, was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. Scheduling and check-in were smooth, and Sam made the entire process stress-free. Overall, an outstanding office with compassionate, professional care from beginning to end. Highly recommend!

My daughter started running a fever at school. The ladies upfront got her right in to see the doctor. All staff is friendly especially the nurse. Gracie even found 8 toys while waiting. The staff hides toys for the children to find in the office which is so fun and keeps the children engaged while waiting. My while family uses this office. Best doctor’s office! I love our Nahunta office.

I highly recommend Blackshear Family practice. You are always greeted with a warm hello and the staff are friendly and very efficient!! Dr Alligood, M.D., and Ms Cox, FNP, are very efficient and they take the tome to listen to your concerns, questions, and they address them as quickly as possible.

I recently changed doctors and it was the best decision I’ve made !!! Johnna is an AMAZING medical assistant !!! She is super friendly and remembers all of her patients. She even came back and complimented my weight loss . Johnna has a way of making you feel like you’re the only patient on the schedule . Sheryl Cox is very educated and takes her time to explain what is going on and how the medicines she prescribes you works and why she is giving you them. I call them my dynamic duo . I had a doctor five minutes from my house and now ride 45 minutes just to go to their office and it’s worth every bit of drive time !!!

When I moved here a year ago, I went to Dr. Alligood‘s office in Nahunta and asked if they took my insurance. I gave them my insurance cards and they told me that they take my insurance. Both ladies at the front desk and Dr. Alligood herself assured me multiple times that they took my insurance. After a couple visits, they discovered that they actually don’t take my insurance. I’m not sure how a doctor’s office doesn’t know what insurances they take… they called me and told me I would have to either start paying out-of-pocket or find a different doctor. A year later, they are trying to charge me for the visits, even though it is their fault that they told me they take my insurance, and I would only be responsible for the co-pay.
