Dr.Beard, and his medical team are just the best!! My shoulder is healing SOO much quicker and definitely less painful than the one I had in cape girardeau, about 10yrs ago! Dr. Beard was amazing. Came in for swelling in my right knee. They ended up draining a lot of fluid out of my knee. I am already feeling 100 times be, and I'm just leaving the office. Him and the nurse were both very kind and gentle doing the procedure. I would definitely recommend to anyone that needs an orthopedic specialist to come here.

Update: after poor care here, I got a second opinion. Midwest orthopedics missed my torn meniscus and tried to tell me nothing was wrong with me. I'm now recovering from surgery, a surgery that if I trusted Midwest orthopedics I would not have gotten. I typically don't leave negative reviews. I did not feel like I was taken seriously, I did not feel adequately assessed, I did not feel seen, heard or cared for...I felt passed off like a statistical resolution to get me off their patient que. I had to repeat my issues and concerns multiple times only to be given the same blanket and thoughtless answer. If you're in a position to have a choice, go choose somewhere else. I'm not saying the care here is bad...it's just there's not really any care at all.

Had knee replacement surgery this past Wednesday. Home health nurse and physical therapist was supposed to be set up. Nothing was done. Called the office three times. Actually spoke with the office. Nothing was done. also asked for help with pain. Said they get back ... Nothing was done. And here it is 4:55 p.m. on a Friday. Shame on you. Shame on you. That sucks

I was referred to Dr Beard by my primary for damage to shoulder after a bad fall resulting in painful catching/clicking/popping with movement. Their office scheduled me with Dr Berkbigler instead of Dr Beard (my Primary was angry about this change as he would NEVER have referred me to Dr Berkbigler because of his reputation with patients). My 1st appointment Dr Berkbigler stopped me from explaining my symptoms. Finally scheduled surgery to repair shoulder and debride it. Dr Bergbigler did not inform insurance this was my dominant arm, which would have changed their pre-authorizations. Morning of surgery, I saw Dr Berkbigler for maybe 2 minutes.
