Most sketchy scam billing ever Had two labs done at a doctor's office in the financial district, on 4/1/25 and 4/24/25. This was for bloodwork, EKG and urine sample, etc. They bill my insurance and the claims are paid, great (see UHC claims approved photos). About 3 months later, I get a bill on the mail saying owe $25 (see first pic) for service on 4/1. This one is odd for a couple reasons: A) why is the account past due? From date of service it's only been 3 months. They have literally not contacted me once. B) how is it the third billing notice? Literally no other forms were sent. Anyways, I call Bioreference and a lady who is clearly in call center overseas picks up. I ask about the charges and they say its for coinsurance. This lab takes advantage of patients by running in office blood work for various doctors and then they participate IN SUPRISE billing. I'm left paying over $1,000 out of pocket completely surprised which I did not agree to upfront for blood work that I was only told was covered by my insurance, ended up finding out it was all towards my deductible. I will be going to the Texas department of insurance to file a formal complaint for this practice as a surprise billing is something that the state legislature and federal legislature is looking into. They have not tried to reach out to me to make any kind of arrangements and surprise billing is not legal.

I live in Florida had a appointment for blood work at their Clermont location on October 1st and was not notified of their departure from Florida two weeks ago. Unprofessional company in not notifying their customers that they were leaving the state wake up Bio reference.
