Big Horn Rehabilitation and Care Center

I had the pleasure of working with the team at Big Horn Rehabilitation and Care Center in Sheridan about a month ago, and I was truly impressed by their warmth and dedication to the residents. The caregivers I met were not only friendly but deeply invested in providing quality care. You could feel the authenticity in the stories they shared, and it was clear that the residents are genuinely loved and well taken care of. During my time there, I filmed an interview with both administrators and employees, and hearing their passion for what they do really stood out to me. It’s rare to find a care facility where you sense such a personal connection between staff and residents. At one time this nursing home had a reputation that made you question whether or not you should place a loved one here. I’m here to tell you that shouldn’t even be a question. My aunt came for therapy, a few months ago and was very reluctant to go. Now, she and my family couldn’t be happier. The staff is very caring, kind and respectful. There is laughter in the halls, there is a sense of pride in what they do, and they communicated very well with my aunt, and my family. I highly recommend Big Horn. It is clear they are going through some changes, but these changes have definitely served them and the other patients well.

Where to start with this... My father went there from a facility that had to move him and the care was top notch,but due to him being on a swing bed we had to find another facility. The nurses were amazing Buffalo Hospital. When dad got moved into Bighorn things were not right from the start but we thought it was just from him moving. Walking in all you could smell was urine. And elders deposited in the front room with the TV on. Staff sitting around and on their phones talking smack about other workers. Yes I did hear everything. My dad was left in his room with another gentleman and the rooms are tiny. Dad is not mobile by himself and needs assistance, that being said they took his cath out but took their time getting to him when he hit the call button to use the restroom so he would ha

Such excellent staff! Everyone is so caring, compassionate and supportive. Although it is an “older” building, please don’t let that sway your decision as they are currently remodeling. The most important thing is, the care and the customer service is exceptional. Everyone matters; the staff, the residents, the families and the community, and it shows.

My mom has been here for a little over a month. The staff is all incredibly kind and caring. The physical therapists have been wonderful. They are encouraging and patient and my mom has made great improvements under their care.
